Triay International Trust Conference

Triay & Triay successfully co-hosted Gibraltar’s first international trusts conference at the Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club last week. It was attended by a wide variety of local lawyers, accountants, bankers, professional trustees and company managers as well as the FSC and judges of the Supreme Court.
The event was co-hosted with XXIV Old Buildings, a specialist Chambers comprising of Chancery barristers with particular experience in trust disputes
and related matters both in England and abroad. The topics at the conference included the status of a letter of wishes; a lecture on pre-emptive costs orders, a recent case update, as well as a mock Court application.
Commenting on the event, Charles Simpson, a partner in the litigation department at Triay & Triay and speaker at the event said, “The firm is very pleased to have organised this conference for fellow professionals and others locally. We are firm believers in the importance of continuing professional development and events of this nature also allow fellow professionals to share expert knowledge and experience. We must thank the members of XXIV Old Buildings who attended and spoke at the conference.” Triay & Triay are keen to make the event an annual one in the finance centre calendar.
