If you’ve ever dreamt of writing for radio, television, feature films or a novel you can now make your dream come true. You can unlock that great idea that’s been spinning around in your head with the help of Write Away at one of two short courses and workshops running at Gibraltar’s iconic Rock Hotel in January.
The Art of Scriptwriting is a four day course commencing on 21st January 2016. This intensive course in the Rock Hotel’s state-of-the-art conference centre will leave you ready to jump in and write with confidence, enjoying the comfort of the famous Mediterranean venue, the choice of so many writers, actors and artists.
Lisa Chernin Newman, an award winning script writer and one of the Write Away course leaders said: “In addition to the basics of scriptwriting and plot structure we will cover character and dialogue, themes and goals, treatment and scene breakdown. Guest lecturer, BBC producer Gary Brown will talk about pitching your ideas to discerning and critical producers and explain what they are looking for.
Free time and a guided Rock tour are built into the course in order for you to fully enjoy your visit to Gibraltar. You will receive a booking code upon registration which will entitle you to a special discounted room rate for a sea view room with balcony at the Rock Hotel for the duration of your stay in Gibraltar.
Alternatively if you’re a budding novelist or writing a screenplay, getting the dialogue right is essential. An intensive three day course, from January 18th to 21st, with lectures and workshops will help you to hone the skills you need to succeed.
Lisa Chernin Newman and accomplished lecturer and producer, Colin Muir will guide you through character and dialogue and themes and goals.
